ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITIES IN SOUTH-WEST GERMANY

As stipulated in a cooperation agreement, the Universities of Koblenz-Landau, Kaiserslautern, the Saarland and Trier have all agreed to work together in the areas of teaching and study. This allows students not only to take part in lectures held at their own university, but also at any of the other three universities. (Content only available in German)

The Department of Historical Sciences at the Université Laval and the Institute for Foreign Language Philology at the University of Koblenz-Landau have established a programme to enable full-time students from either university to take part in courses at the partner university and thereby obtain the diploma-supplement « Diversity management, with a focus on culture diversity ».

European Center for Refractories

The University of Koblenz-Landau has concluded a cooperation agreement with the European Center for Refractories (ECREF) in Höhr-Grenzhausen in order to expand the close cooperation that already exists in the areas of research and training even further in the future.

Ernst-Bloch-Center

The University of Koblenz-Landau and the Ernst-Bloch-Center in Ludwigshafen have been conducting mutual projects and staging events dealing with themes in the fields of philosophy, culture and the social sciences since 2005.

EVEIL-3D

In the Franco-German project EVEIL-3D, a virtual reality game using 3-D technology to aid foreign language learning, was developed. The scenario guides players through a virtual environment depicting two architectural eras of Strasbourg Cathedral. Ten partner organisations are involved in the three year project, which is co-financed by the European Union as part of the Programme INTERREG IV.

ENTREPRENEURIAL OFFICE

The Entrepreneurial Office Koblenz-Landau offers support and consulting to all students, professors, staff, and alumni who have an interesting business idea or just wish to learn more about how to start a business. The Entrepreneurial Office is a joint initiative of the University of Koblenz-Landau and the University of Applied Sciences Koblenz.

General Studies

Students at the University of Koblenz-Landau, the Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule Vallendar (a Catholic higher education institute of university rank), and the WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management Vallendar can take part in reciprocal courses in General Studies. The University of Koblenz-Landau is a member of the Initiative Koblenz - Central Rhine Region. The aim of the initiative is to establish future perspectives for the city of Koblenz and the surrounding districts which made up the former Koblenz administrative district. The university is particularly involved in the area of education.

The Police Academy

The University of Koblenz-Landau and the Police Academy of Rhineland-Palatinate signed a cooperation agreement in 2010, where they broth agreed to work even more intensively together in the areas of teaching and research. The longstanding cooperation between the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Landau and the Police Academy of Rhineland-Palatinate formally strengthened the already existing ties. The Transfer Network Rhineland-Palatinate is the Association of Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the eleven universities and universities of applied sciences in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
